The Ex-Stock Exchange Palace of Romania

The building was constructed between 1908 and 1911 and was inaugurated by King Carol I.

It is a prestigious building of Bucharest architecture, part of the Beaux-Arts style.

It housed the first Stock and Commodity Exchange.

In 1949, the building was nationalized; during the communist period, it hosted the Central State Library.
